Kumora is a paper lantern floor lamp shaped in the softly rounded, egg like form associated with Japanese lantern making.
The shade is crafted from mulberry paper, ribbed with fine horizontal lines that catch the light and give the surface gentle texture. When lit, the whole form glows evenly from within, casting a calm, diffused warmth across the room rather than a single directed beam.
The shade rests on a slim black iron tripod, keeping the lantern raised just above the floor with a light, almost weightless presence. Standing 43 cm tall with a 26 cm diameter, Kumora is a low floor lamp by design made to sit beside a bed, an armchair, or in a quiet corner and it works equally well placed on a side table or console. A wire loop at the top completes the traditional lantern silhouette.
Kumora is mains powered with a push-button switch and takes a standard E26/E27 screw-fit bulb up to 40 W, sold separately. Pairing it with a warm white bulb brings out the character of the paper shade best.
