The Verdoro is a bankers desk lamp built around two traditional materials: a green glass shade and an oxide brass-finish base. The shade sits on a curved arm above a stepped, rounded base a form first seen on the reading desks of libraries and offices, and still recognised today. It is made for indoor use and suits a home office, study or reading corner.
Power comes from a 2 metre clear cable with an in-line on/off switch, so the lamp can be turned on and off without reaching down to the base. It takes a single E14 small screw bulb up to 40 watts, sold separately. The shade sits low over the work surface and casts light downward, lighting a desk, keyboard or open book rather than the whole room.
At 250mm tall, 190mm wide and 190mm deep, the Verdoro keeps a small footprint on a desk, console or side table.
